Litigation is always a last resort but sometimes is unavoidable. Within the ambit of commercial litigation is included matters such as breach of contract, corporate disputes involving oppression of minority shareholders and fraud on minority shareholders, disputes under the Contracts Review Act, commercial disputes involving mortgages, guarantees, company liquidations, bankruptcy, building disputes, property disputes and matters involving the Australian Consumer Law and NSW Fair Trading Act. We are experienced in the preparation and conduct of cases in these areas and have successfully conducted complex commercial disputes.
Where possible we encourage the parties to compromise and resolve their disputes without the necessity of engaging in often protracted and expensive litigation. We also engage in alternative dispute resolution processes such as Mediation and Arbitration where appropriate.
